摩多哈拉圣井始建于11世纪，位于印度西北部古吉拉特省，著名印度教太阳神（苏利耶）庙前。

圣井是印度教徒朝拜太阳圣庙之前沐浴净身之地。如同印度的母亲河——恒河中沐浴就能洗去俗人身上的罪恶一样，人们认为这样可以冲走身上的病痛。水牌坊是募捐筑井的人建立的功德坊。井的周围有各种柱式，被称为“林迦”，是印度教三大主神之一湿婆神的象征物。
